What is this continual obsession with Beckham? He is finished as an international and was sometime before he was actually dropped. He struggles to make the Real Madrid team. In fact I think he should retire. In many of his games for England he was a passenger and contributed very little. No pace,no dribbling skills,no heading ability and no left foot. He was a very good player but all players reach the end of the road at some stage and Beckham has.

David Beckham has been living on his reputation ever since his performance against Greece.Since he has been dropped England have started to play with freedom and confidence.At the World Cup he contributed 2 free kicks five games, that was it.He cant tackle,he cant beat a man for pace and he cant head the ball anymore.Gerrard has been excellent on the right and Beckham cannot be brought back for sentimental reasons.He was a great player but that time is gone, we know have width and all i see is a brighter future for England without the Beckham circus.

He's the best crosser of a football in the world, and heaven knows England need that with 'the tall one' upfront. He is a world-class player and theres no denying it. He may have lost a bit of what he had, but he still needs to be in the squad at the very least. I understand why Macca didn't pick him, but you've got to play very bad to go from national team captian to not even in the squad within a month. England were terrible at the world cup, but that wasn't all Becks' fault. Judging by recent performances, Macca needs to swallow his pride, just like Steve Staunton did with Lee Carsley this week (and that worked out for him). Bring back Beckham and bring in Allardychi!

No they shouldn't. Things aren't looking good for England. Largely due to the coach and his bizarre choice of tactics.

Beckham has done little to nothing for England over the past four years, bringing him back would be a backward step. Lennon and Wright-Philips are better options on the right

Beckham was a good player. However, after such a long lay off, would he be all that effective? He did what he had to for his country, & should be remembered for that, not for being the player who wanted to do more & couldn't. He should pass his knowledge on to his kids & those at his football academies. Those kids can then have the pride of knowing they are "Beckham prodegies" & carry our country forward that way.

NO, he should have been dropped years ago, he was the captain and didnt give a captains performance since the greece game which was 2001 or 2002 im not sure, he is sen as the best free kick taker in the world and out of all the other top clas free kick takers im sure he has 1of the lowest scoring percentages, and you cant put him in the side because he can put good crosses in, any player that plays for his country should be able to put in good crosses and if they cant do that then they shouldnt play, he is nothing special and he never has been

Yeah I route for it cuz Beckham is the mentor of the England midfield but its just because of Steve McClaren that Beckham's forfeited captaincy and can't find a place in the team.

No way, real madrid dont even play him in the first team why should england!!! Hes too old now cant run much, only scores one out of every like 10 free kicks now if even that. And you notice that now hes been left out of the squad the team is the same rubbish so obviously he didnt contribute much.
