Do you expect to will it to happen.
There is no way except repetition and practice.
If you want to look a certain way when doing so keep in mind every body moves differently even if you are all doing the same movement.
Learn to let the music drive your moves and feel the music.
Best practice is in front of a mirror.

1. Take yoga- it gives flexibility and a centeredness that shows in your dance.
2. Turn off the lights, feel the music and forget your 'moves' and 'chorreography' sometimes.
3 Pay attention to your fingers and toes- point them; it should look like energy is flowing from them- imagine that.
4. Pay attention to the stops- a crisp move should have a moment of Hold/Freeze before moving again.

Sounds like to me that you are doing all the good!! Maybe dance in front of a mirror, or video tape your dancing, so that you can see what you need to work on.

All you need do is, watch some musical videos e.g MJ's thriller, Kirk Franklin's videos, Janet Jackson, JLo, and others and follow them as they do. Then you can make up some dance steps by yourself too.
