If your Doctor happens to be of the Jewish faith, then believe him .. Jewish Doctors are the smartest and the best. If he isn't of that faith .. well then, 50/50 he is correct. Good Luck! :)

Same thing happened to me- I always wrote in my calendar days I started and such- b/c all me friends were irregular and I wanted to keep track- well I'm also weird in the fact that on days that I had sex I would draw a heart in the bottom of that day on the calendar- My last LMP was on May 18th, and they said that I conceived on June 1st- which was impossible b/c I had no heart there- I thought it was June 3rd where there was a heart- turns out it was May 28th and the sperm stayed "alive" I guess you could say- so sperm can be active or however you want to say it for 24-72 hours.....
Congrats, and as you get further along, you will know...

It could have happened at any time. I am 20 weeks pregnant now and the first result from scan showed me that the baby was conceived in the 28th day from my period, wich should have been too late. So I would say that anything is possible. When you have the first scan they will tell you exactly how many weeks and days you are pregnant. Congratulations :)

First off, Congrats! Second, I was told my conception date was on 1/3/06 and my due date was on 9/26/06 by my doc. I know for a fact that there is no way that that conception date was right because I was sick as a dog that day and there was absolutely no hanky panky going on. I thought I was a week farther along than he thought, and it turned out that I actually had my baby on 9/14/06. I was more right than he was! LOL
When you go for your u/s they will give you a more permanant due date.

Not necessarily it goes by your cycle like say it's 28 days apart then they say you got pregnant the 14th day but I got pregnant as early as 9 I did the basal thermometer thingy but usually they go by a week after your period and count from that day also my sister got pregnant 3 days after her lpm so doctors just think they know everything but they don't.

Your due date can change as your pregnancy progresses. No one can tell the exact moment of conception. My first child's due date was moved up 5 days. I went into labor 2 days after that which stopped and he was born 3 days after THAT! As your pregnancy progresses, you will have a better idea.

It doesn't really matter unless you had multiple partners and are trying to figure out which one is the father. The doctors are just giving an educated "guess" and they can be wrong. As your pregnancy progresses then the doctor can determine how far along you are with more accuracy.
