Or have you really really learned a thing or two about life, living and the pursuit of happiness?

if I wasn't on here I would be sitting in front of the boob tube instead. Here I can interact with others which is much more rewarding and also frustrating at times.

Have I learned anything? Not really. People are people, some wackos, some crazies, some really nice peeps, some confused still learning about life. YA has given me a lot of laughs and that can only be a good thing....smile

When I first got on here, there was this drive to earn points and get up the levels. Not any more.....I hardly notice where I'm at these days. I also like to take more frequent breaks from here. That's the beauty about the internet. You can turn it on and off

It's a chronicle, certainly, but I don't think it's a waste. I can look back over the last 9 months and see where all of my free time went. And it serves as a reminder to what else was going on in my life at the time. Whether I was happy, sad, excited, etc. I can see one of my answers or questions from months ago and remember..."oh yeah, that's right...this was going on." In an odd sort of way, it's also a lot like a diary in that regard.

Have I learned anything about life, living and pursuit of happiness? Certainly. Can I quantify what that is? Not bloody likely, it's too early in the morning and I haven't had enough coffee yet.

It's defenitely going down as a "chronicle of my wasted life"...

But my life in general is in that category so i'm not too worried.

As for whether or not i've really REALLY learned a thing or two about life, living, and the pursuit of happiness... there's one only thing i've learned.
Yes, there is such a thing as a stupid question.

Spare me that all questions are wellfounded...

Most of them aren't.

My life has never been more complete or more full of meaning. Although, because I spend all my time on this site I have lost my job, and while I was writing a thoughtful an provocative question my wife left with the kids, leaving behind her lawyer's phone number. Wait, the men are here to take away the furniture. Come on guys don't take the chair and the computer.......

I can honestly say I've learned a thing or two...I've made a few really good friends that I "talk" to in IM or email, and I've never laughed so much in my life!

I count my time in Yahoo! Answers as priceless and amazing as my high school years - the best, unique, and I'm so glad to have the memories!

Well, after wiping the smile from my face, I don't know, let's see what Eliza has to say...

Me: Do you think of all of your Yahoo! Answers over the past months as a "chronicle of your wasted life?"

Eliza: Oh, i think of all of my yahoo answers over the past months as a chronicle of my wasted life.

So there we have it, the answer is yes, and I have to agree :-)

I think of it more as time well-spent. I get a bit of sardonic amusement out of the process, and I have given some folks true and accurate information about subjects which mystified and/or confused them.
I have asked only a few questions, however, because the answers I get tend to be wrong or banal.
Go figger, eh?
BTW, nice profile.

That's an interesting way to look at it. I've learned a little here, but it's mostly just a waste.
