You have to decide to tell him what turns you on, what you like, and what you need. Don't worry about his ego, if his ego is that sensitive then you will always be playing to it and sacraficing something for the rest of your relationship.

Ah, that fragile old male ego! Sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns and tell him what you feel. You can be tactful about it. You don't have to be brutally blunt. But a man needs to know how you feel about things to be a good husband to you. Ladies, PLEASE don't expect us to be mind-readers! And we can forget things to, so help us remember things like birthdays and anniversaries!!! The older we get, the worse our memories are. I bet that is true for your gender too.
