Sometimes you break out into peals of laughter as you find something that provoked it. While a joke may erupt you into laughter it may not stir the other person. Laughter is good for health and it also helps fight the grimness of the occasion. But while breaking into laughter it is important to understand where you are, and in whose company you are. Laughing at somebody may mean mocking at him/her.Laughter should not embarrass the other person. Where you are with others laugh sensibly. When you are watching a comical show at home your laughter may continue for a little longer, but in public place it may arouse contempt and others may look down upon as a rustic.

No, it's very healthy to laugh.
Don't worry about what happened. There is so much more important in the world. People tend to forget and move on.
Learning is more important. Go face your teacher when the time is right.
