Yes, but you will have some cookies put on one and some on another! The same with identd and web beacons - interesting idea. But maybe - you should just have a wireless network and save all the messing around. Laptops are supposed to be portable. I'm sitting in the kitchen using mine with a wireless link to my home office - which is useful - but not so useful now I can access the net anywhere around the home. You'll confuse a few servers and they will keep asking you to log in when they don't find their cookie. I delete them all and that confuses them! lol

You could but its a very complicated process! It would be far easier to network them with a router! A cheap wired router will cost ya 15 bucks and I imagine your laptop is network ready, all you would need is a 5 dollar nic card for the desktop if it doesnt have one and a couple cat5 cables.
