Find a silver smith or jewelry store that repairs silver. They can braise it with silver solder and it will be as good as new. I would advise against using lead solders. To soft! Price could be as low 10 bucks, or as high as ???????????. It all depends on how hard the job is. And if it is only plated. Then it gets more complicated. If it is painted, then even more trouble. Good luck!

NOT; welded or soldered! Braised! this may present a problem, there aren't a lot of people that do this anymore. you'll hafta call some welding shops in your area, this will take some leg work,& travel. good luck! P.S. IT'S a lost art.

Must be awful sentimental as repair cost may be just as much as getting a new one. Check a jewelry store though as the repair will have to be small and neat. But my bet is you will end up getting a new stand in the long run.

why don't you go to a shop that caters to those who work with wood shop tools, they sell pen making materials and you can get a brand new pen holder. I know, I make a pen holder for my daughter.
