Dear Scotsman

I have chosen your answer as the best answer compared to the other one. …. But …

I did not carry out a meaning of post-war products and marketing which is intentionally established by General Sir Richard Dannatt. But I am trying to say that there is a strong possibility to market their products and services for leading construction, communication, food productions, financial, electrical and electronic companies.

When I say "leading" companies as you know all these companies exist in America and Europe.

And I asked how Sir Richard Dannatt's statements do affect the situation.

It is going to happen sooner or later anyway.

And I did not say it is a disaster for British Army.

What I did say indirectly in my message that Sir Richard Dannatt's statements may create many good things as he wanted an Army in 5 years time and other side effects such as a good image about Britain in Iraq and other countries around Iraq.

Are you seriously suggesting that General Sir Richard Dannatt, the Chief of the General Staff, might have said that the Iraq war is a total disaster which is destroying the British Army and causing more harm than good to the security situation in Iraq and its neighbours because he wants to somehow affect post-war markets? Because he thinks he could make a profit out of it once Britain withdraws from the war? That is too bizarre to be taken seriously. Consider that he might have said those things simply because they are true.

Helpful to soldiers? Undoubtedly. The soldiers now know they have someobody at the top who understands their situation. That goes for their families too.

Helpful to Iraqi civilians? I don't know. It would have been helpful to Iraqi civilians if we had never invaded. Yes, Saddam was a murderous lunatic, but I doubt that he was killing Iraqis at quite the rate they are dying now.

The awful truth is that we cannot win in Iraq. One of two things will happen. Either there will be another "strong man" who holds the country together in an iron grip of terror, or it will shatter into at least three parts. Both of those alternatives ends in bloodshed and suffering for the people of Iraq. Staying there will only prolong and postpone that agony, not prevent it.

i like Dannat!! He places actuality and integrity above profession and aspirations. He components the reality, no count in case you like it or not and interior the united kingdom that makes an extremely fresh replace. Being ex HM Forces i can not stand the bullsh!t or laptop which now pervades this united states like a terminal ailment. My son is HM Forces and says that Dannat is "sound" and has made a huge difference in situations and kit. So for me that's all of the advice i choose. This guy ought to, if he needed, be the subsequent Wellington. Out of the army and into politics with a super following. If he set up an autonomous political social gathering he could make extensive inroads into the "2 horse race" we now be afflicted by. the human beings of this united states are crying out for an option to the political "previous take care of" - this guy ought to grant it.

His comments are the result of an extremely frustrating and desperate period in which the military has tried to get the political side, the Labour Party, to think about the consequences of its policies. We are seeing all over the place the bad consequences of their policies. He is brave and may personally lose his job because of it. It is time other civil servants spoke out against the government. What is giving help to our enemies is doing all the things they expected us to do (falling into the trap of attacking the middle east).
