My mom is a cosmotologist and I went through this last year. I was going through a stressful time in high school which is nothing compared to your big move across the pond lol. Anyway, its called alepechia but they're different inducers, mine was stress. Try this shampoo/treatment. Nioxin its for thinning or balding, it will most definitely help! Also get the spray on! It stimulates your hair folicles and helps them to grow. I used it for over 6 mos last year and my hair is back to normal length with the rest of my hair! Its amazing! You can find it in a Sally's beauty supply or something like itI don't know if they have Sallys in the UK. Or order it online I promise it helps! Hope it works out!

Depends---is it falling out all over or in the front and top?

If it's falling out in the areas where a man who is balding would lose his hair, than most likely your hormones are off and should be checked.

I had that problem and it turned out to be Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Go to a gyno and get a blood test to have your testosterone level checked.

There are many reasons for hair loss, such as, stress, diet and even illness. You should see a doctor to rule out any medical cause. Good Luck.
