I'm gay but I don't feel proud. People at work laugh at me behind my back. I know they do. Why can't they just accept me for what I am?

I'm not gay, but I have 2 uncles and several friends that are. And they are all very proud. I don't know why people can't accept you for who you are. I guess some people are just crazy like that. I think it's quite ****** up that people are the way they are and I know it's a bunch of **** to deal with. If you want to talk to me, go ahead and email me, I'd be happy to talk to you. Have a good day.

why do people insist on their being gay and non-gay? everyone has the possibility of enjoying love with their own sex to some degree, whether it is just admiring an attractive body or entering into a relationship. Everything is shades of grey.

Your colleagues are uneasy about their own sexuality, the guys know they have sneaked a look at their pals in the showers after a football game. Some are jealous at you having resolved your own position.

I am not gay, but you do not have to take abuse in the workplace. It's called harassment and it's a very serious charge. Talk to your manager about this. you have rights too. :):):)

There are state and federal laws protecting employees from this type of activities. Look in your break room for the law posters. I've gone through this as a manager with a couple employees who were doing this. Take this to your HR person immediately. They will do everything they can to correct this issue so you do not have to take it to a state or federal agency. If you can't/won't help you then take it to one of those agencies and inform them that your company wouldn't correct the situation when it was brought to their attention

Because people are mean! The people who laugh at you are just insecure and they can't handle someone being comfortable in their own skin. I am a straight female and I am very confident. The girls that I work with are horrible to me! They nicknamed me "the slut" and I am a happily married woman with a 2 year old son. I have never cheated on my husband and I do not flirt! Keep on doing what you are doing...they are just jealous..Keep your head up and rise above it!

People don'tm like what they can't understand. Don't worry. there are ALOT of gay people in this world.
I'm a Proud Gay guy. I don't care who doesn't like it. Its who we are. if they can't see past the fact that your gay then forget them. they oviously are to shallow and worried about their image to even get to know you.

The Girl under me hit it buddy. I didn't even think of that. Nail them for harrasment. !!!!

I am not gay, so I think I can't help you.
I can accept people the way they are, but some of ppl are not sure about them self and because of that they become homophobic.
