Search Ebay for reseller accounts and by up a few 10s Gb. Make sure you get a domain reseller package too so you can set up domains quickly. Most people barely need 20 Mb for a decent web presence so you'll get quite a few accounts on the go. Good luck

Get a reseller account.
Basically many hosts will allow people like you, to pay them a fixed guaranteed amount each month (which ensures they have a cash income) and in return they will give you a fixed amount of space and bandwith on their systems for you to sell to your customers, use yourself etc.
You will get root access normally and your own CP to setup and create client accounts etc.
Prices vary but you can get reseller accounts for as little as $15 per month.
Check out turnkeyresellers - search google.

Yes ... it is very simple ... get a server and speak to BT ... BT would take you from there ... IT WOULD COST YOU FROM £2500 for everything with a decent server. There will be running cost every month or year.
Dont become a reseller for any company who hire web servers. You will be locked in to their hidden agendas. Have your own server at home or work place. All you need to do is; have a good power supply and a good broadband connetions.

You can start from being a reseller first.. Then, you can proceed to own your own server.
When signing up for reseller, make sure that the provider has private label reseller plan.. Meaning, the original provider remains transparent to your clients.

buy a server and set your own up - u cud set it up at hoem but i'm sure you don't want your ISP cutting you off. your other option is to buy a server at a datacentre.
alterantively you can become a reseller if you buy webspace as a reseller you can sell web space.
for example: http://imrgoodbuy.co.uk/go/1and1 1and1, you could buy a server from them, they host it but you could sell off your web space - NOTE: i don't know if you're allowed to do that with 1and1 hosting, but there is definately other hosts who can do this.

http://www.dollar-hosting.net
I have space with the above.
It's very cheap and allows sub-domains etc.
You need to buy the domain name with say: www.uk2.net then set up with dollar-hosting.
Highly recommended.
They even answer their emails!!!!!
