18 carat gold is 3/4 gold since 18 /24 = 3/4 20 carat gold is 5/6 gold since 20/24 = 5/6 now the ratio is 3/4 is to 5/6 or 3/4 x 6/5 = (3 x 3 )/(2 x 5) = 9 / 10 answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gold melts at 1337.33 K (1064.18 °C, 1947.52 °F)

you would have to have have a fan assisted fire, in a well insulated chamber.

Iron melts at 1811 K (1538 °C, 2800 °F) so it would hold molten gold with out melting.
