It does seem to be an extinct notion. I see what you mean. People are all caught up in their careers, and other social obligations to take a second to plan something specail for the one they love. I still like to plan nice things with the other half and things we haven't tried yet. Her birthday, a no brainer. I will always come up with something for that. Also, will surprise her with a cooked meal for when she comes home, open doors, and have "date night" every once in while, where we pretend we are getting to know each other all over again.

yes i am and yes i do.
i have been married to the same gal for just over 31 years now, and i open the car door for her, send her flowers at times throughout the year just because, get her breakfast in bed every Saturday morning. these are things that happen without even thinking about the other things i do, and it all because i love her.
