Give all the facts...
Harry Reid sold the property to his lifelong friend for shares in the mans company thru a handshake. When the man got the rezoning for a shopping center and paid Reid 1.1 million for the land everyone is up in arms. Reid paid all the taxes throughout the whole time and reported it as such to the government ethics commitees. So now because he finally got paid real money instead of ownership in a company Repubs are up in arms.
I have met this man and his family and find him to be a small town man (Searchlight, Nv.) who is totally up front in every aspect of his life. My answer is...
No, he's not in any trouble. The federal government investigated this whole matter thoroughly, and there was never any implication of impropriety .

Ask Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, why he's resigning! And, what did he mean by saying that he only did what everyone else was doing...? Hmmm....! Is that how politicians make more money than they're paid? Sounds like a lucrative job for any interprising crook!
What ever became of the Nixon crew? One thing is for sure, Nixon ordered them to do illegal things and they did; then, Nixon left them to fend for themselves and never spoke to any one of them ever again! They all went on to enjoy comfortable lives, with all the hidden funds and benefits paid to keep quiet and not incriminate Tricky Dicky!
Anyone remember Tom DeLay?
Does anyone know what former senator Bob Packwood, the Oregon Republican is doing today? Yes, another disgraced politician (STILL receiving pay and benefits).
I wonder if Ney is willing to share the same cell with Foley?
OH, no, yet another Republican using the same lame excuse as the anti-Semite, Mel Gibson, blaming it on alcohol... damned, they all think they've found the perfect excuse for their misbehaviors and that we're all going to believe the b/s?
