Buck's dad was an announcer for the Cardinals,McCarver played for them many years ago.By the way,why do they have them,of all people, doing the Cards-Nets series?Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest?

I am from ST Louis, and yes they do want the Cardinals to win, and so do I.
Now they go to ST Louis and you'll see some real baseball fans,
look in the stands.
Go Red Birds!

Who really cares as long as they do there jobs and do it well.
Joe buck and Tim McCarver are two of the very best announcers in the game. They have proved that fact for years no matter who was playing. I don't think the MET fans would complain with the way they are announcing the series There fair to both teams.

How do you come up with "Conflict of Interest"? Many announcers over the history of baseball as well as other sports have been in the same position as Buck and McCarver. Why is this any different?

One thing is for sure, Joe Buck isn't nearly the sportscaster is father was.

Joe Buck hates both the mets and yankees. When the yankees or mets come up with a big play, he announces what happens like he's mad or sad that something good happened to them.

I.E In game 4 of the NLCS, Carlos Delgado hits a Home Run to deep left field and Joe buck in an unexcited and mellow voice says, " Speizo at the wall and a three run-homer for Carlos Delgado and the mets take a 5-2 lead here in the 5th"

All I remember about Tim McCarver is that while he was being paid as a San Francisco Giants announcer he and Joe Buck, Jr. were saying in the 2002 playoffs that the St. Louis Cardinals deserved to win the WS because Darren Kyle just died (like that's supposed to mean anything!) and then on National TV Joe Buck was seen saying the words "F**K The Giants repeatedly to which Mc Carver said nothing, nor did he try to stop Joe F**ckhead from continuing to say it while he (McCarver) was biting the hand that fed him.

EOS both a bunch of losers. Fire them now! Blacklist them from the sport. Ride their a*ses out of town on a rail, tarred and feathered.

I don't think Buck and McCarver cared who went all the way once the Red Sox were eliminated because they hate the Sox with a passion.

The more important question is why are they commentating at all? They are the worst sports commentators in the English language - McCarver couldn't even remember that Pujols first-name was Albert! And Buck is more interested in the NFL.

Over here in the UK the ALCS coverage is being provided by MLB International and Dave O'Brien and Rick Sutcliffe are showing what great commentators they are. Then everything is ruined by Laurel and Hardy (sorry Buck and McCarver) following them!

Those of you in the US, PLEASE start calling/writing to Fox Sports begging them to drop these two morons!

They are certainly rooting for the Cardinals. However, if they were totally neutral, they would still be the WORST commentators in all of baseball. Especially McCarver who has a contrary comment to make on every manager's decision and on every player as to what that player should or should not do!! He drives me nuts, so I just turn on mute.

Chow!!
