they are a pain in the ***. i am not religous, i dont mind people who are, but what i cant stand is peole trying to force their beliefs and opinions on you. and as for the christmas thing that is just plain, selfish i feel sorry for the poor kids, at school they must get the piss taken out of them when everyone else is discussing what they got from santaetc and making christmas cards, decorations and so on. they must thing they did something wrong, since santa didnt bring them anything!!!

I'm afraid i have to argue their point in regards to Christmas, The misconception is that they miss out all together, well my ex hairdresser was a Jehovah's Witness as he explained it to me thus..

We have Christmas every 25th December, the kids know that they are getting presents, yes they don't maybe know what they get but they know presents will be arriving so its not really any great surprise, what she did for her children was spontaneously buy presents through out the year, so if was both a good surprise and entirely unexpected which is what i think presents should be.

Look at the stupid extremes some parents go to to have this years "must have toy" queueing for hours fighting like kids over the "must have toy" then having the kids disappointed because the "must have toy" has been sold out. Some parents even go into debt heavily for their kids presents, is that the true meaning of Christmas or have we all gone to commercialised, and now tell me do you think they have it wrong with regards to Christmas

Why would you be concerned about a lack of Christmas presents. Where in the Bible Does it tell the date of Christ's birth.
Christmas is just a money maker for businesses and a nusiance for people to have to spend their time hunting for a good present to trade. If I give you a present and you give me one, that is a trade. Hunting presents robs Christ of the time that could be spent reading, praying and serving Jehovah. I'm not a witness, but I am studying with one.

Just tell them that you do not speak english in a funny accent...that works.
We have them here in Spain but they go away really nicely :o)
Sometimes I say...sorry I am a buddhist and they go "URH ?"
Then smile and get their watchtower mag out...with a handbook (it has their promotional word in lots of languages in it).
Then I say...Yo no intendeeeeeee !!!
That works so well.
---OR ----
Just cite the bible to them :o)
They hate it when you ask them to explain why Gods word was changed (from an eye for an eye...to turn the other cheek etc).
Or ask them simply: Will God not still favour me if I live a good and honest life? Why do I have to join a "group" to be a excepted into Paradise?
You can have so much fun with them hehehe

But always be polite, religion plays a part in so many lives...
it has its good and bad points.

(ooohw but aint we lucky, we get pressies!!!!!!!!)

Miserable probably because they pay a percentage of their wages to even *be* a Jehovas Witness (like the Mormons do) and door-knocking people who really aren't interested in their ridiculous religion. (God saving 10,000 Jehovas when the Apocalype arrives. Please, you'd try and keep the numbers down really wouldn't you?) And probably because people are rude to them. I just look at them and say nothing until they give in.
