Only if it was a good poem, because if they hate it it would be really awkward to say so.
Maybe I'm too picky, but I'm inclined to think that someone who cares so little about language that they don't bother with grammar, punctuation or spelling when they write probably isn't going to put in the necessary care or craft to produce a poem worth reading.
If you just express your feelings in a random manner, it may be sentimental or romantic, but that doesn't make it poetry.

It depends on the woman. But I believe that lots of women do find it romantic. And don't worry if you are not Shakespeare. What's important that it expresses your sentiments. While people may not admit it, lots of people are still romantics deep down.
