I have a 2002 Kia Rio and it drives horrible. I can't drive it over 60 mph without it shaking like crazy, and the steering wheel shakes all the time, even at low speeds. Also, every time it's trying to shift over 20 mph some times in sticks in gear! Does anyone know what I can try to at least maybe get rid of the shaking. Its an automatic transmission and its practically brand new, so I think I'll take it back to the AAMCO place to have the tran. adjusted or something.

I just got the transmission replaced not even a year ago, so it has a warranty on it. I am going to call AAMCO and see if they can just adjust it or something.

It's a kia and they are known for lousey auto trannys, I know I ued to work as a service advisor at a Kia store. Sorry to say, They are junk! The shaking sounds like a suspension problem or the wheels need to be balanced. The big expense witll be the tranny, get the tranny fluid changed first, that might help.

Go ahead and buy it. I presently own a Kia Rio and I am very happy with it. Have had KIA`s since 1997 (4 of them) and have never had any problems with any of them. I drive about 18000 miles a year.

Have you hit a curb and bent a wheel rim?balancing a wheel wont fix the problem,I can balance a square brick but that wont make it round.
