I know it's a very vague description, but believe me, if I knew more, I'd put it in. I saw what I think was the last episode of a cartoon when I was in Australia about 8 years ago. The main character (I think) was a dragon. He was fairly small,, but (typically) very brave. If I remember rightly, in the last episode, he was rescuing his friends from some sort of dungeon. As I said, it's really vague, but does anyone have any ideas what the cartoon could be called? ^_^;;; It's been in the back of my mind for years.

Btw, I checked out the pictures for Beany and Cecil, and that's not the one. The dragon in the cartoon I'm thinking of was much smaller, and had more defined features. ^_^;;

Possibly it could be Tabaluga? He has a snow hare as a best friend and is fighting the Snowman Arktos. He also does rescue his friends from a dungeon. If it is this cartoon, it was originally in German. The English version does get shown on Cartoon network sometimes.

A few screenshots so you can check:

I d say if your looking for the very first cartoon ever made where the main charecter is a Dinosaur it would be Gertie the Dinosaur by Winsor Mc Kay influenced by the comic strips he made of The Adventure of little Nemo in Slumberland.....
