Laverne - definitely the fun one. Shirley reminded me of the old Groucho line about Doris Day - I knew her before she was a virgin.

Shirley was really sweet but I think with Laverne around you would never be bored so I'd have to say Laverne is my favorite.

Penny Marshall (Laverne) was the better of the two, I felt. The two of them together, however, made the scenes funnier.
One thing that has always stayed with me is the first time I saw Laverne drinking "milk and Pepsi." I found out through some talk show that Penny Marshall actually DOES drink milk and Pepsi mixed together! I just cannot get my head around that even though I like milk, and I like Pepsi (just not mixed together). I was once tempted to try it, but never did.
Now, ICE CREAM and Pepsi -- that I could go for! Talk about a Pepsi float! Ha!
