The stuff you buy in jars contains all sorts of rubbish. The real stuff is made of extra virgin olive oil, egg, vinegar and lemon juice. Provided you don't eat a gallon of it, it's quite good for you.

I love the stuff too. Don't try the light stuff - It tastes too vinegary! Don't choose a healthy alternative - just be a bit more sparing when you do have it! Take it as a treat rather than something that you must have with your food - you'll enjoy it even more, if it's possible!

I hate mayonnaise, which is just as well, because I am a diabetic and can eat nothing with raw egg in it. It is also not good for pregnant women.
I occasionally have a dab of salad cream (yummy), olive oil, sauce, English mustard, or nothing.

Get a low fat one from the supermarket or make your own, its made of eggs and too much of them gives you excess cholesterol. Sad innit I love Mayo.

Hellmans Light is like eating wallpaper paste - stick with your original - just try to eat less of it.

mayonnaise is actually quite healthy, full of omega 3. It is fattening though, but u can get extra light varieties!
