There r so many ways Like On Intenet u can make friends On yahoo cha rooms,yahoo 360,yahoo answer......... Get a hobby and look for clubs so you can join and then you start from having something in common. And if you can't think of any thing you like for a hobby try game clubs....Or Jim....In addition there are many pen pal programs you can find out more about on line. Your new friends could be in a different states Its Fun 2 know abt many countries..Well, just kinda, Talk to people.
Since your shy you dont have to start out with conversations or anytihng just say hi, or ignolage people.
......Go 2 Church,Temple,Mosque according 2 ur Religion as i m Not Christian But i use 2 go 2 Church every sunday....i do Light some candles n see prayers ...People over there r so Friendly n always say Wellcome 2 new Comers

You have to believe me , I learnt it , long , long ago from a dog.
It came home , one day, from nowhere and it started to stay just outside my home. When I pass through the gate , each time, it would get up and simply greet me . He used that tail to do that.He did not demand any thing from me and his attitude was one of being nice to me , which later translated to friendliness.
I started to give food . Then I started to share my food.Sharing love and care was just a few days away.
When , after so many years he died one day , i felt I truly lost... a dog? No... lost a friend.
You donot have to go out on the road and look for friends.Start at home. If you are married be friendly with your wife and work your way around.

Just smile always, help everyone, keep a cool and controlled temper, try to like everyone and be happy: friends will come flying over to you. You can also make good friends just by being you :-)
