Ever read Orwell's book, "1984"? Really. It was written in the early 40s as a warning of what can happen in a supposed Utopian society where the populace blindly entrusted their safety to the government. The super rich and powerful as the supreme ruling social class. A Plutocracy. False wars to maintain financial status quo or further enrich the super rich and powerful, and keep the populace herded together against a common, invented enemy. Government spying on its citizens through the use of modern technology. Newspeak. Thoughtcrime. Hidden prisons. Prisoners not officially charged with crimes, or arrested for non-existent crimes. Brainwashing through use of repetitive slogans and repetitive propaganda. Made up stories disseminated through mass media. Demagogues obscure issues and maintain the populace divided through the use of repeated false nationalistic slogans and propaganda. The whimsical government (run by and for the super rich, powerful, the elite privileged few who are above the law) decides what rights the populace has or don't have.

Let's see... gee... wait a minute... that novel seems to be describing Nazi Germany but... NO, NO, NO... It's actually describing our very own modern-day USA!

Need I REALLY spell it out further? If you think so, then I suggest you read Orwell's novel, "1984" and make up your own mind. When you finish, try reading the fanciful novel also by Orwell, "Animal Farm."

There are a lot of controversial issues that are not covered adequately by the so called free press of western nations. I think people want to know some of this, and reporters often write stories which are not printed or which are highly edited. The real source of this type of censorship can be found in the offices of the editors and media owners.

Censorship comes in many forms. I had the misfortune of being interviewed by a TV news program once. They edited what I had said and took things out of context. What they aired was not what I had tried to relate. They used a few sentences of my statement to support their own slant on the event.
As such, I don't believe anything that appears on TV anymore.
