I need a hard top for my daughters Vitara 4U 1998, I don't want to be paying the extortionate dealer prices (£900+). Any ideas?

A company named Bestop makes high quality hard tops for most Suzuki SUVs.

I used to own one but very quickly came to hate it. The soft top is a pain to take off and put back on and the road noise over 30mph is incredible, you can't hold a conversation with a front seat passenger without shouting. Oh, and boy are they cold in winter. If you still want one check out the soft top for perished stitching and where it joins the bodywork, the clips rust and the rubber seal can come adrift. Also have a look at the underneath of the bonnet and front wings near lights where its prone to rust. Be aware you can't leave anything inside them they are a thiefs dream car and stanley knife wielding youbs love to slash the soft top.
