Bristol City and Bristol Rovers. As the two teams aren't in the same league anymore the chance for the fans to mix is rare. However, the games conjure up one of the most volatile atmospheres around. Like a trip to Istanbul. Swansea Vs Cardiff is always a hotbed too (could argue that isn't English football, but it is in Enbglish league so it could count)

The Gunners and The Red Devils (Arsenal and Man U). When they play each other, might as well give them the keys to the handbag cupboard and let them get on with it. Goals scored in these games doesn't count - the only scoreline that DOES count is the amount of red/yellow cards !

Arsenal vs Man utd...these two are infamous starting off with ruud van nistlerooy getting beaten up after missing a penalty..throwing pizza at each other in the tunnel and roy keane swearing his head off at viera for acting like the w*nk*r that he is..its kind of calmed down abit since keane and viera have left the premiership but i think liverpool vs chelsea is a growing one as the managers are always slagging each other off

Well I`m a Bolton Wanderers fan and we detest Man united, however they don`t feel the same way back. The biggest hatred has to be Arsenal and Tottenham I think

all of the answers you have received are correct in a manner of speaking, though you Watford--Luton ,or for the more obscure Dulwich hamlet--Tooting and mitchum/Bromley and dont dismiss them just because they are non league.each team has a hard core of support and they are as passionate and as violent as any big team fan ,and at that level of football the fans get extremely close to each other on the terraces

im scottish...just to add...u have no idea whatgoes on in scotland because most english people only care about themselves and there own country, which goes on to explain my answer to your question, i think that scotland and england have the biggest hatred for each other, before the past 4 games i havent met a lot of english people who are not extremely cocky about ther 'world cup winning' side.
