If there were four thingies but only three of them were visible to you, would that be vague enough?

Imagine a building consisting of 10 floors. If a person is on the 2nd floor and you are on the 7th are you at the same place? The answer is NO because even if you are at the same point of the town (for instance, you both have the same address) there's a difference in your z (height) coordinate although x and y coordinates are the same.

Now let's assume that you leave your house and you go for a walk. You have a spot that you particularly like so you visit it often (for the sake of argument let's assume that you visit it each afternoon). Can you say that you are at the exact same point every afternoon?

The answer is NO because although your spatial coordinates (x,y,z) are the same, there is a difference in t. Being there this afternoon isn't the same as being there tomorrow (for one thing you might meet different people, or see that some objects in the surroundings are rearranged, etc.)

To make it even more impressive let's assume that you visit a historical site, for example a place where a big battle was fought. You can't witness the battle itself with your own eyes because although it happened "there" WHERE you are, it didn't happen "then" WHEN you are! So (taking into consideration the aspect of time) you can't say that you were there because you lack the correct position in the fourth dimension.

You see a wall full of drawers. For example there are 5 by 5 drawers which constitutes 2 dimensions. When you pull out a drawer there are sections, this constitutes to the third dimension. Each section is another drawer that is divided into more sections. this is the 4th dimension.

Keep going for more dimensions.

Just consider in a space...

if u are going to locate an object... how you will do? you have to reference the object from X,Y and Z axis. Actually that is not enough...

Time is the FOURTH DIMENSION. You should also mention the object is located at X,Y,Z at this particular time.

this is called 4th Dimension.
