There are many reasons which only a proper health check will sort out. See a doctor as quickly as you can.

You do not say if male or female...and even how old... most important factors, before even trying to answer this question.Plus, for how long this person has lost interest.
Loss in food can be one of these...or even 100 other factors.
Loss of job
depressed
ill
worried
in love
too busy
too happy
too tired
One would need to know, how old the person...and how long no interest in food!.....

if you are going through a stressful time at the moment then it is quite common to lose interest in food, keep an eye on it or if it has come on for no apparent reason go to your doctor.

I don`t think it is serious. I lost interest in food about 2 hours ago.
I may regain interest in food in another hour?

yes, its serious. but of course it all depends why.. you migh tbe trying to drop a dress size..no problem... but if youre six stone wringing wet, and you think you need to lose weight...thats dangerous.

of course, seerious debilitating diseases also cause a severe lack of appetite, cancers, and aids, being two causes...the chemo kills your desire to eat.
