go back to bed and dream of being in paris or new york.

alternatively if you are bright eyed and bushy tailed....

apparently there are giant slides in the tate modern. you should check it out. also get a river roamer ticket on thames clippers a better way of travelling in london than on the smelly tube. you can hop on and off all day. it's always nice to go to covent garden especialy if you plenty of spare ping floating around for some retails therapy if you choose to go with thames clippers get off at the savoy pier.

you could climb the monument - it's a tall tower that marks where the great fire of london started - cheap to get in and a fantastic view from the top. It's almost opposite london bridge on the north bank of the thames.

Go to the British museum. Turn left and go to the Rosetta stone. Then turn back around, go around the reading room and go into the hall directly across from the Rosetta stone and turn left. You will find a touch-friendly model of the Rosetta stone. Feel what it is like and imagine the people carving it thousands of years ago and how it means absolutely nothing to us now but what it meant to them. Then go back and look at the Rosetta stone again. Do you feel different? Then walk straight through to the Parthenon gallery and go look at the east frieze. Then go back out near the Rosetta stone but as you exit the Parthenon gallery turn to your left and find the touch-model of the Parthenon. Part of being in London is that you are in a World City. That means that it is not just a city that the world goes to but a city that reflects the world. You can see and feel your way through history all within 30 minutes at the British Museum.
After you are done in there, you can go upstairs and look at the mummies and a few other cool things. Across the street is a nice cheap cafe that makes a really great red Leicester sandwich.

Or you can get drunk, as all those people say. What a great way to see the world. If you're lame.

I can tell you what not to do! Don't bother with The London Dungeons. Went last month and it was a complete waste of money and time. I queued for an hour and half - must've been having a blonde moment - and when I finally got in I was really dissapointed.

I can recommend Covent Garden with it's street theatre and covered markets also the Porterhouse pub in Maiden Lane, then walk (or stagger !) up the road to Drury Lane to see Blueman Group at the New London Theatre, they are amazing.

Have a great day....I did !
