I think Nostradamus had predicted that so I guess it would become true as most of the other things that he predicted came true.
But considering the different problems that India is facing at the moment, I don't think that its possible unless a miracle takes place.

The honourable person either does not know or needs to learn about his own question.India has been a Supper Power through ages and nothing new in that.India is a Super Power even today why go up to 2020.India has progressed in each and every field be it agriculture,technology,computerisation,educationj,self
esteem and reliance,patriotisim,secularisim,and even in going
for the Nuclear weapons although our people do not think this
is imortant.Nuclear Power is required only for peaceful needs and
not creating a fear for others with weapons.Countries like USA
Russia,France,China,Germany and many other Nations who
have piled up large quantities of Nuclear Weapons around the
world have achieved what-only criticisim at their respective
homes.The billions and billions of tons of money spent on these
has only deprived the poor of the poorest.
You do not become Super Power by acquiring weapons only.A
Country can be a super power by the good people it has,the
alround development of the country,love of people,concern for
one another and above holding the Country in high esteem for
rich culture and traditions,customs and habits and above all
the simplicity and honesty.
Yes in another 10-15 years India would be able to cash in all its
rich resources including the man power.If in India Christians,
Sikhs,Muslims and other communities can live peacefully under
one constitution where is the dearth of Super Power being just going away from here.
India loves peace and has been seriously working on this for the
last so many decades and has been trying to inculcate among
other countries too to work honestly for peace and love.
India does not need any certificate from anyone on the subject raised by the honourable member.I hope I am able to bringforth some true and serious thinking on it.

Why do you want to make India a super power?
To replace American Imperialism?
To stand against widening Islamic Terrorism?
These are not our ways.
We have more than a billion people to feed.
In the interior villages, our infrastructure is the same as it has been during pre-independent period.
Thousands of people are dying everyday due to starvation and epidemic.
Our farmers are committing suicide.
Let us keep our house in order first.

I think that they have the potential... however they have a lot to over come, currently China and India are both in the running but may cancel each other out.

too many issues there.
poverty is a serious issue.
mentality really really REALLY sucks. its bad when people look down upon other people and professions that are deemed lowly.
