We too are Pagan but have lots of friends and family that are not so.... what we are doing so that others aren't uncomfortable is at our own place having a table setting of an orange candle *representing the autumn leaves and the sun*, a black candle *representing the cycle of Samhain*, and a white candle that we will burn all night *in the tradition*. Carving pumpkins is a tradition from both sides that you can of course do. Also, we are just setting aside time to remember our loved ones who have passed away which we'll do in private. Samhain is probably the easiest of all holidays to intertwine with other religions.

Carve pumpkins, is both Pagan and Christian, bobbing for apples is as well. Take turns telling ghost stories, only make yours one of Samhain. Communicate with the ancestors. Alot of people do all kinds of things for All Hallows Eve without knowing that it is Pagan. Have fun.

Samhain is of course the Celtic New year and the great harvest festival, it is also the night that the veil between this world and the next are the thinnest...mergin a Christain and Pagan celebration between these is actually quite difficult as the dogma is at complete different ends of the spectrum. Samhain is the night to commune with those who have gone before, Christain dogma forbids this practice......so...here is the corrundum...
I have faced this over the years myself, and have taken to celebratin Samhain prety much on my own after the familiy has gone on to bed..... I wish you good luck and bright blessings

All hallow's eve is a Pagan Belief. It rooted from pagan belief. i believe Samhain is the feast where the Horned God is to die and the goddess would turn into.... whatever but you can celebrate with your Christian family...it's not really hard...You can do what they do...What do they do on All Hallow's Eve. And is All Hallow's Eve a Christian Feast? i believe November One is the feast of Saints...Weird..

Actually it is pagan... most Christian holidays are.
Set an extra place at the dinner table for the spirits of family members departed. Carve Jack O Lanterns to keep away the spirits that don't belong there. Dress up in costume and go out and mingle with the spirits!

get some pumpkins, gourds, cider, indian corn, etc.... and decorate. while you'll be feeling quite comfortable because of being pagan, they will also because they think that it's just having fun for the halloween thing.

Decorate using a Thanksgiving/Fall style - and remember those who've passed on. :)
