Do you think something even more terrible than the anorexic fad is going to happen because of it? I think a young celeb/ mid twenties/ might die or something close to that
( i know this should be in celebrities selection but usually in polls i get to more opinons from others)

Okay ppl! i Know its not a fad i used that term becuz if you look at magazines and televsion its everywhere ! I hope you know that but people not just celebs look at this and want it like they would want a new dress from a new clothing design, or shoes or jewelry that is hot at the moment

This is not just exclusive to celebrities and not even only women - it is horrible that so many people have such a distorted body image that they abuse themselves and deprive themselves of all proper nutrition -to them it is not about weight - it is about control over something.. about never being good enough - their weight is the smallest importance when it comes to this sickness - the problem is on the inside. And people do die - and get very ill -it causes tons of other medical problems and disasters - it is so sad and the people that are suffering really need to talk to someone to find out what is making them feel this way - and the problem with the "fad" in the celebrity culture is that so many young people look up to them and try to emulate them - and it spreads. no one realizes that even the people in magazines are retouched and - basically just "human" - with faults and pain too - they are sick and suffering and most should not be role models and if anything, set poor examples to live by.

i dont understand your question...
do i think that if a celeb dies, then less people would be anorexic?? thats like saying if a crazy celebrity died, less people would be crazy. anorexia is often not a choice. it is a super negative self body image, and it's the only way for some people to deal...
on the other hand, most celebs/young girls just want attention.

Eating disorders have been around since the beginning of time.Eating disorders are not triggered by looking at photos of ultra skinny celebs,It's considered a mental illness.At least this topic is receiving more attention than it used to.

okay ,first of all- i may not be understanding your q correctly:"because of what"............but fyi, anorexia isnt a fad- all research in the last 20 yrs has disproven the VERY old theories on it being an attention geting-media spurred need of primarily young women...its a psychological need to right wrongs/ traumas in ones life by expressing control over their own bodys...read up.
