I need a portfolio done, I've looked in the local paper but there are no advertisements, altho sometimes there are some. I live in the south London/Surrey area. Hows the best way 2 find an agent?

Try to get on the Tyra Banks talk show maybe - she is always helping young girls that want to start modeling - even getting them portfolios made up and setting them up with agents. There are so many scams - you never really have to pay anything so be careful - if it is for real, they pay you for your time not the other way around.

Don't pay for anything first of all because It will most likely be a scam. Go to the top agencies first, most of them have open castings for new models so research and see when the are. Make sure the agency you sign with does not make you pay for anything at first. If they are a legit agency they will invest in you and get you a portfolio and training if you need. Afterwards when you start booking jobs thats when you pay the agency back.

You need to go to a professional modeling agency.If you had to pay for a portfolio then it's a scam.
