See the problem with the PT Cruiser is that it is almost an old car. and yet nothing like an old car. The Ford Tbird at least really looks like there old car. I am an antique car enthusiast and I went through a hard time limiting it to just one. My uncle wanted me to use his 39 Mercury, or 55 Chevy, my dad wanted me to use his 71 Ford. I have some friends that virtually have Jay Leno's collection--over 25 antique cars, most bought at Hershey. If you are into an old car, you'd want an old car. If you aren't into an old car, a PT Cruiser is too much like one for you. I wanted a convertible too for ease of pictures. I had two--a 56 Buick Special and a 58 Cadillac. Both were a beautiful coral which was really close to my wedding colors. I didn't have to worry about "decorating" b/c none of the groomsmen would have dared touch that nice of a car. The problem with a PT is its just a normal car--not a Rolls or a limo or even a cadillac, it's just a chrysler-- and I'd think that chauffeur would spend the whole night trying to run people off of his car.

It's a cool, fun, distinctive little car. It's based on the Dodge Neon platform. Reliability-wise, it's a mediocre car. The cargo space is really bad. Gas mileage is quite bad given the size and power. The new Chevy HHR is Chevy's version of the PT Cruiser. It's a bit larger, more trunk and passenger space, better fuel economy, and in my opinion better looking. Someone I know just bought a Chevy HHR and she loves it. It's fairly comfy, surprisingly roomy, better looking than a PT in my opinion, better fuel economy, better built, better quality interior, and the list goes on. If you're looking to buy a new PT, definitely check out the Chevy HHR as well.

I love my PT Cruiser, it is loaded with extras for the price and it has excellent interior space- more than a Jeep- It feels like a comfortable arm chair to sit in and great for long journeys. However it does lack a bit of punch when it comes to performance- to be fair all the extras do add a lot of weight to the car.

They are a little sluggish (w/automatic) and their gas mileage is well below par compared to the small cars of its class, get a Mazda 3 or a Toyota Matrix instead.

it looks good, here ends the good news... cheap tacky plastic, with no class whatsoever..a true wannabes car. poser heaven.
for what youll pay for this piece of tat you could buy a real car... with real muslces...like a dodge charger, mustang, or big block chevvy...
im English and prefer my Astons, Jags, (5.3 XJR, with twiin superchargers) or BMW 635csi... style, horsepower, and more cred that you can cope with...
