The national currency is the Real ... market symbol BRL (pronounced hey-Ou [like in the word "ouch"] ), divided into 100 centavos (cents). 1 cent coins are usually unused. The bill denominations are R$1; R$2; R$5; R$10; R$20; R$50; and R$100; and the coin denominations are 1¢; 5¢; 10¢; 25¢; 50¢; and $1.

Where in England do they all have training kits and show off? I've hardly ever seen it at grass roots level. I've seen kids in England play football with anything from a stone to a tin can. I wouldn't compare poverty in England with poverty in Brazil, but don't get thinking that it is all stately homes, castles and thatched roof cottages over here. The greatest raw talent that England ever produced was Duncan Edwards, he was born in the same district as me. If live in the posh side of the Dudley Borough, but where he came from was grim. But I will tell you the main difference between Brazil and England. In Brazil the kids play football for the love of the game, they are free to try things out, and if it doesn't work and it leads to them conceding a goal, then it is no big deal. In England, if a kid tries something out, and it goes wrong, then he is branded an idiot. That is why English defenders, when in doubt often just kick the ball away, it is the result of years of mental abuse. Every English player has four words ringing in his ears when he gets possession of the ball, and these words he can remember since he was 6 years old, they are "Get rid of it". You don't need money to develop great players, just brains and patience. As for Man City, they have only just got their team together, they still need to gel as a squad. It usually takes a couple of years to get a team established, and Citeh aren't quite there yet. My main hope for Man City is that the fans don't turn into a bunch of pretentious gits. I like their supporters as they have a good sense of humour, and are down to earth people, I really hope the money doesn't change that.

The Brazillian currency is called Real and if you want to work out what it is is worth to Dollars, you need to half it, so 2 Real is 1 US Dollar.
