Great actor too. Especially as Lord Melched [not sure of thats spelt right] in Blackadder.

Stephen Fry is probably the cleverest man on television. He deserves all the praise he gets. Dealing openly with manic depression while being in the public eye must be incredibly difficult. I love QI, it's the only entertaining quiz show on the telly - all the rest aim for the lowest common denominator!

Questions and set-ups are scripted, sure. The key to this show is preperation. A lot of research goes into each topic/question so Stephen is prepared for whatever direction the panelists might take their answers.
That said, the show wouldn't be possible if he wasn't as incredibly clever and witty as he is.

Stephen Fry is really clever. He once appeared on Universaity Challenge. I think he answered the most questions. He copes well with being a manic depressive. A really talented man.

I expect much of the show is scripted, but agree Stephen fry is a very funny guy and a brilliant actor & writer too

I always wonder about a lot of this type of show after hearing that Have i got news for you is partially scripted.
They also get to see the photgraphs used before the show so they are prepared with an answer, it really has taken the edge off the show knowing that.

I think that shows hilarious! i love it, and i love stephen fry, he's an extremely witty and intelligent man! Alan Davies is fab too, even if he can come across as being a bit dim! lol

He always comes off as clever and articulate, on extras the other week he was also very tall ( or Ricky Gervais was short)
