You can buy a sweater saver....Some cleaners have sweater shavers...I would call them and ask them if they have one and take it in to them...
Wal-Mart at one time carried sweater shavers, I`m not sure if they still carry them.
You might search the web for sweater shavers....They work great

Grizzly Burrs can be a real problem, although Brown Burrs are a bit more co operative, or at least less likely to take offence by your intentions. The best thing I have heard is sneak up behind them when they are eating Blueberries, they are totally absorbed at this time, then quickly and deftly pull the sweater over the Burrs head, momentarily he will be surprised at the sudden darkness and will freeze mid Blueberry. Then remove sleeves, a friend could do one and you the other, and quickly run behind the Blueberry bush. You may have to deal with some Blueberry juice on the sweater, but it should come out in the wash. The Burr should return to eating, before noticing his sweater has been removed.

don't know what a burr is, but if you mean fluffy bits, try using an shaver - just skim it over the top of the item.

I have seen electric shavers for removing the balls that form on certain fabrics. Just inquire in stores
