I have a 97 ford taurus. My heat only works some times. It seems that it works best when the car is in park. If i turn it to blow on high then it cools off after a couple of minutes. If i turn it to blow on low it stays warm. When I am driving it stays cool. What could be wrong with my car? And always thank you for your answers!!!

When you car is sitting still air is not being forced through the radiator. As soon as you start to drive the wind coming through the radiator helps to cool the water.
I would start by changing the thermostat. If the spring on the thermostat is weak it will open too soon or it is not closing at all. A thermostat is one of the cheapest things to fix on a car. If you do it your self be careful tightening it back down if you tighten the bolts down unevenly you could break the housing. They have to be tightened down evenly so go from one bolt to the other until it is seated.

Seems like a leak or loose ducting in the system which allows cool outside air into the car under certain conditions. When the car is idling there is no such problem, but once it is moving then hte problem shows up.

Sounds like the thermostat to me. Easy and cheap fix.
