I work for a talk radio station. We have conservative talkers, some liberal talkers and a few in-between. I think there is plenty of room for a lot of views, though I myself lean toward conservatism. I think with the bankruptcy of Air America the market has spoken. It says Air America didn't have what it takes to survive in this business.
What do you think?

Years ago there was an airline, run by the CIA, that flew in Asia, called Air America. I am not asking about them. Their cover was blown and they are gone.

I am asking about the liberal radio network anchored by such pleasant folks as Jerry Springer and Al Franken.

I am extending the question in the hopes a few more people will offer answers or opinions on it.

I have a view, which I will share at the time I close this question and select the best answer. It is entirely possible the best answer will reflect a viewpoint with which I disagree. We shall see.

It's a sad thing. But the bankruptcy is not necessarily attributable to content. I think they had some marketing and consumer access problems. And in reality, maybe they don't have what it takes to run a radio station - but that is likely the business side failing, not the content side. It would be nice to see those same people getting a block of air time on other radio stations. Conservative talk radio personalities get plenty of time on regualr stations because politically they are in favor right now. I'll be glad when the personalities from Air America Radio don't have to create their own platform and are given equal time in mainstream media.

I'm embarrased to admit this, but, before he was elected, I'd hoped that George W. Bush would be elected and that he'd mess up so badly that the corruption and evil he represented would be exposed to all. I had no idea that would result in the deaths of over 700,000 innocent people and the serious injury to another million plus. I'm not confident that this lesson has been learned. The evil accomplishments overwhelm anything positive he may have achieved. I know stockholders in Halliburton might disagree, not to mention whoever stole the $4 billion lost in accounting for oil.

That would appear to be the case. If you don't have a product that people want to pay enough for you to at least break even, you are going down the tube.

I think ALL airlines should follow the example of Ryan Air... They make butt loads of profits and yet are very cheap for travelers
