If you know what you want, you are the best designer. There are some very easy to use graphics programs out there ..check this site ..http://www.silvaspoon.net/graphics.html
now if you want to get into flash, (which has issues with some browsers actually)
you will need to wait for someone else to answer you.
While you are at the above site have a look around.. it was created by a novice in a matter of a couple of hours using the graphics programs described there and dreamweaver.
