For example: white cloth headdress with a black band are worn by rich arabs. Please I would like a person with a good background of the arabs culture to answer this question. Also is there a website where one can learn about classes for example high upper class vs middle class and the way to tell the difference in their dress, behavior etc. Thank you

It depends on the country. In Iraq color and design of the shemagh usually indicates that the wearer is a member of a certain tribe, rather than being and indicator of social class. The red and white checkered shemagh indicates that the wearer has made the Hajj (Pilgirmage to Mecca). Try the CIA world factbook site. It contains country studies with cultural information.

i dunno about the headdreasses if it determines the class.. but as far as i observed its the sash they wear.. like the king will wear a golden sash, or some shiek... so i guess its their sashes that determines their class on the society.
