Definitely the Big Band era: Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey. etc. Of course I'm dating myself. Why? Have you ever danced to Snoop Dog and the like? Try swingin' with Benny Goodman and "Sing, Sing, Sing" or Glenn Miller's ""Moonlight Serenade." Oh, for the days when music was just that: music!

Probably 60s and 70s, because I love classic rock. I also love 90s grunge music, like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots.

Classic rock - late sixties early seventies.
I like it best because it was before MTV came along and fuc*ed up rock music by putting too much emphasis on videos and less on lyrics.

late 80's and early 90's rave scene in the UK, absolutely fantastic atmosphere at the large raves, people being really nice to each other and dancing all night until the sun came up. some dodgy fashions going on though. free parties were you had to follow a convoy for miles to the secret location and the race to get in and just dance, dance, dance, wish those day's still went on........brilliant

Sixties, mostly. I think almost everyone gets hooked on the music which is current when they are teenagers and young adults. It gets associated with the memories of being young and horny. It gets remembered as "that was our song," or "that's the one we danced to that night," or "we used to play that when we made love."
