All babies need to cry in order to communicate with their parents. In general, babies cry to say they're hungry, uncomfortable, sick, hurt, teething, bored, upset, tired...or lonely. Crying also serves to exercise the baby's lungs, muscles, heart and nervous system. You may find that your baby cries more towards the end of the day, due to built up tension.

In some cases, babies cry because they're uncomfortable due to allergies, or because they have gas and need some extra burping. And some babies appear to cry for no reason.

But don't worry, from birth to about 8 weeks, it's normal for babies to increase the amount they cry, and then around 8 to 12 weeks they start crying less.

If discomfort is not a problem, she might be feeling some new separation anxiety (though this usually does not start until 5 months or later) where she is afraid to be alone. Or her developing large muscle skills may leave her not wanting to be down on her back. Kids often go through rough periods of sleep for the week or two before motor milestones.

Babies cry to let you know they need or want something. If your baby is crying when they're tired, hold them, or rock them until they fall asleep. A pacifier might work to soothe your baby, it would probably help with the crying. The only thing I can say is make sure they have a dry diaper, a full belly, and lots of love.

They are releasing all their energy by crying so that they can fall asleep. If they are really screaming it means they are over tired, if nothing else is going on like hunger or dirty diaper, etc. Try putting the baby down at the sight of the first yawn and they may fuss a little but will fall asleep.

If babies could walk themselves to their beds and get some peace and quiet when they were tired like grown ups, they probably wouldn't have to cry. Crying is a babies' way of communicating with their mother. They have no other way yet and when they are tired they are communicating that they want you to take them to their bed and be quiet.

The world around them is very interesting and they know that closing the eyes means missing something. In effect, the baby gets cranky and irritable. Since babies don't have the vocabulary to say what is wrong, they cry.

I provide her a tub, furnish her a sippy cup of milk and we glance at a e book mutually in her room. I then positioned on her nightlight, turn my IPOD on with nursery songs, kiss her goodnight and that i say "mommy loves you" and then I close the door. We do the comparable ingredient each evening at 8 or 8:30pm. She cries a splash yet oftentimes places her head down and is going to sleep. she would be in a position to stand up and push her track container on if she needs. If she cries an excellent determination minutes i pass lower back in there and soothe lower back. as long as i understand she has a sparkling diaper and an entire tummy i'm comfortable with a couple of minutes of protesting. i do no longer think in crying it out. instruct her to self soothe over a pair weeks time with the comparable technique many times. If you imagine their world before birth and then after, you can see what a shock it might be for them. While they were still inside mommy they were snuggled up tight and warm, and were rocked back and forth pretty much nonstop except for at night when mommy was sleeping. And at least for most of us, when did we feel baby moving the most? At night when we laid down. Baby didnt have their natural swing anymore to lull them to sleep.
It never failed that if I wrapped up my girl and rocked her she would fall asleep. They dont know how to fall asleep at first - to shut off their busy minds and let themselves fall asleep. Ever have something on your mind and couldnt fall asleep? Again, imagine life for your baby where EVERYTHING is new and they are trying to process that.
