I have no idea, but it reminds me of a kind of horrible yet funny story from when I was in college. I was living off-campus with 2 roommates in an apartment. And one of my roommates had a suitor. He was a really sweet guy and she was a wonderful woman... and he really wanted to date her. They hung out as friends, but she wouldn't date him. There were a number of reasons, but whenever she didn't want to elaborate, she would always explain that she wanted a man with great stomach muscles.. and his, well, weren't great. So, he would call everyday, at midnight, 2am, etc.. and she would be in the studio working.. she'd call him back maybe once a week if that.. Valentine's Day came around, and the three of us came home to find a rather large frozen heart-shaped ice cube hanging on our front porch - for my roommate.. She later thawed it out and inside there was a note.. I don't remember exactly, but it was something about trying to melt her cold heart. We felt for the poor man who had fallen so hard for her... and then we fell on the floor laughing hysterically. Anyway, the poor man finally (and thankfully) gave up. She is happily married to a man with a nice stomach and has just had her first child. I am hoping he is doing ok.. haven't heard from him in years.
Anyway, find out what she likes.. a certain type of poetry.. funny sayings, sappy sayings.. quirky quotes.. anything, but first try to find out what she would appreciate, because putting your heart and soul into something she is going to see and say.. hmmm.. at least he meant well? isn't going to make either of you feel great.. so find out what her "love note fantasy" is.. heh heh.. talk to her close friends if you need to.. and then do something for her that she will really appreciate..
Best of luck! Hope she returns the favor...

Don't write anything. Sit her down across from you, look into her eyes, and open your heart to her. Hearing you tell her how much you love her will mean more to her than any letter.
Of coarse it'll take more effort on your part...

Write her what you really feel, say how important she is to you, what she really means to you, what you would be without her. A girl wants to feel important to her boyfriend.

Whatever comes to mind when you think about her. By doing so you make it personal and specially for her. Don't hold back. Be honest and true.
