no, dawn is the point of time in a day when the sun actually breaks the horizon, so in fact, it is always lighter just before dawn, because the sky gradually becomes lighter with the rising sun and lightest at daybreak

that's why it's called dawn. a natural phenomena that morning is coming. so definitely, it would'nt be dark for long bcoz the sun is ready to shine in front of everyones faces. i need not explain further about the transition of night to day. so stop wondering now!
