I heard a band once?

Had an album once, and I think that band name was "Buckwheat"....There was a song called "Simple Song Of Freedom" I wonder if anyone elses has heard of this band and song....

Apparently the band Buckwheat charted with "Simple Song of Freedom" in 1972. Here's a site with the lyrics and an audio sample.
