I would say I am Christian, in a generic sense, seeing I claim no denomination. If I drew a circle 2mi around my home there would have to be no less than 2 dozen churches from big sprawling campuses, to small store front churches. We are talking at least a couple of thousand pew sitters. Yet many are not very Jesus like. When it comes to compassion and forgiveness for the worse of society; murders, sexual resgistrant, dope fiends, prostitutes, etc. Many are like "Get them the heck away from me. Lock them up or drive them away" Jesus came for just these type of people. So, people attending church but not taking to heart the spirit of its founder making those looking from the outside in see them as hypocrites?

That 2mi circle was basically a perimeter to show a set number of churches. Casting a wider "net" the church I see who has no destinction was the Jehovah Witness. From what I can see they did not say we forgive you but keep away from our kids(of the sexual unacceptable) they believe God will protect their children and they will protect everyone else's children by doing everything in their power to bring the sexually unacceptable to God. Children need protecting but who better than God can do it? That IS what faith is suppose to be about. I am not a big fan of JWs but my hats off to them in backing up their faith with their actions

You're right of course. There are many hypocrites in church pews just as there are many hypocrites who never enter a church. Hypocrisy is a human condition not a Christian one. Of course Jesus came for everyone not just the "socially acceptable". Also, you would be amazed to know that there are many churches which make no distinction between those whose background is "colorful" and those who are not.
Those who make people feel uncomfortable because of their social or moral condition will have to answer to God for their sin of snobbery. Jesus isn't just going to ignore this kind of behavior and, not to mention, that this kind of behavior besmirches the name of God also. Anything that people do that cause others to turn from God is a grievous sin and there will be a penalty to pay for those who commit it.

Well you paint with a wide brush also.
People want to raise their children in a safe place.
If people break the laws of a community, they are sent away. If people have paid for their crimes against their community, and do everything to avoid breaking the laws again, these people are now "good", and are welcome back - but people are people and a "trust" has been broken, that must be healed first.
There is no healing or cure for any sexual crime, and people are correct in wanting these people away from any community that has children. Children MUST be protected at the cost of a few adults with hurt feelings.
"Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" - means regain my trust and welcome back, compassion does NOT mean blindly allowing people that do NOT follow the communities laws and morals after they are proven to be against the community. Jesus protected the children, and people that were innocent, that is what we should be doing. "Dope fiends and prostitues are easily regaining the trust of the communities they live in once they stop breaking the laws of their community, I hear their stories on Oprah (well people watch this and tell me at work, I can not watch much on TV) Anyway, their are couragous stories of healing daily, and I pray for more!!!
So, I pray you give your 2 mile circle a second look, and I bet many are helping people and praying for what you are looking for - compassion and forgiveness.

Jehovah's Witnesses are compassionate, and they invite all respectful persons to their houses of worship so that God's Word may provide comforted and motivation to improve their lifestyles and family lives.

However, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that God miraculously protects each and every child from the evil in this world. Christian parents and others are encouraged to act with wisdom and prudence regarding with whom and in what circumstances their children are out of their personal supervision.

(1 John 5:19-20) We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. 20 But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity

it quite is common to tell the version, in simple terms bypass with your sences. in the event that they are partial religious, they definately are hypocrites on condition that they presume to nicely known all of it. And in the event that they bypass around attempting to alter all of us, and not stay for Jesus by utilising themselves. that's additionally hypocrisy, in some way.
