There's still a "middle class"??? Wow! Sure fooled me! But I didn't know any class was painful. I guess I could be called "middle class" because I work for a living.
But it's frustrating here in the ER where I work to have people who can't speak English and don't have a Social Security # walk up with their Medicaid cards and get free health care when I have to set up payments for my $150 copay (on the insurance I pay for out of EVERY paycheck) if I needed the ER.
These people also drive nicer cars than I do. And don't get behind one of them in the grocery store using their food stamps. They are buying steak while I have to buy ground beef in a 5# tube (and not the good ground round or sirloin either) Why don't we fix the biggest reason for the pain felt by the border states (TX, NM, AZ, CA). More immigrants (most of them illegal) than natural born citizens who all think we should change to make them comfortable.
That's the pain I feel.

Sorry no pain here. Actually doing quite well. New car, full pantry, great job, good stock portfolio, two vacations a year. No problems that I can't handle all on my own well except for an ear-full of whining and complaining.
But the key to all are the choices I made and the decisions I took based on the lifestyle I wanted.

Why does everyone assume that there is only one class to middle class. There is three levels to lower and upper class. I know that my husband and I work our behinds off everyday to get my kids things they need and want, pay the bills, and still have money to set back. Honestly most people could as well if they would set their mind to it...oh wait its easier to live on welfare. Thanks but no, I will take my taxes and whatever they have to throw at me.

They talk about the economy all the time.
But they never give us credit. WE ARE THE ONES breaking our backs these days, struggling more every year, and WE are the ones who Bush has exploited and forgotten about in order to boost the economy! That Bush makes me sick...

middle or lower, we are all feeling it. Who, besides the sellers, did not get hurt with the skyrocketing housing costs? Who didn't go nearly broke just filling up with gas? OUCH!
Comprehensive immigration my ***...Rotting fruit? Put the welfare recipients to work...It all hurts!

Yes, I have a Bush in my backside and he keeps telling me to push one if I want English.
