why do people continue to defend it and delude themselves? And considering those facts AND that you actually don't need pornography to masturbate, what rational excuse could there be? And something better than that trite old corker "two consenting adults", yada yada. Give me a f*cking break. Wives whose relationships are destroyed by porn addict husbands, that's NOT consent.

most of what you have said is an opinion albeit not only yours but i do not agree with a lot of what you have said...when they say 2 consenting adults...they mean the people who are in the movie and not the ones watching and there are a lot of people who do need it to take care of business themselves. there is a HUGE difference between someone who looks at it occasionally and someone who is "addicted" to it (just like alcohol, gambling and even shopping these days) are we going to ban everything that people may or may not become addicted to? i think not. I'm sorry your so bitter but the problem is with the addict husband and not the porn industry

Porn has played a major roll in problems in my marriage. My husband is a porn addict. As far as misogyny goes, I don't believe that is the case. He doesn't hate women or fear them. He says it is just something that he does. The problem I see with it, is that it has taken away from our intimacy, because instead of coming to me for sex, he prefers masterbating to porn. As in all addictions, it is a disease of the mind. One that I can't win in.

Adult pornography, and let's make that distinction, is not necessarily a healthy substitute for adult sexual relations. If one is not in a relationship, then perhaps that will give that person some stimulation that they don't necessarily get. However, ladies, dont' forget that men are more visual in nature than we are. Physical attraction is huge for them, maybe not for some of us.

It isn't just the husbands. I know women who have become addicted. And you are right. It is a delusion. Until they get caught.
