It used to be called....................a disaster and the national guard, and coast guard and other workers came to our aid.......especially the American Red Cross................................................then we got into saving the world.......and we need help ourselves because our national guard is split into other countries.

It used to be that the ARmy, Navy, Airforce took care of outside and the National Guard and coast guard took care of the 50 states..........not so.

It does seem that we are alone when disaster hits....yet the world waits for us to rescue their country when disaster hits overseas.

A disaster is when life as we know it is disrupted on a large scale. It usually includes loss or destruction of life and/or property with the threat of more loss to come. Management is to knowledgeably divert what has not yet been effected to keep loss at a minimum. Disaster management helps everybody involved deal with the situation safer, quicker and with greater benefit than without someone or organization taking responsibility for disaster relief.
